O’Neal 2010 Element MX/DH Jersey

As part of O’Neal’s 2010 clothing line, they have created a super-budget MX / DH ladies jersey. At only $21.99 it is a steal for a good quality over-armour jersey.

I really like the small details like elbow padding and extended tail (there is nothing worse than having your arse on show tearing down a track), and the fuchsia cuffs are very cute. Available from the O’Neal’s online shop.

Maloja Freeride Jersey

Really like the colours and graphics on this Freeride Jersey by Maloja. Having a browse through their homepage, this brand has amazing jerseys. Going to have a good look and report back with some choice pickings (www.maloja.de/). Available from www.minx-girl.com at the bargain sale price of £40 (good for a freeride top).

Even Krankier: New Krank Dirtwear

Just got sent details of some new jerseys from top New Zealand based MTB clothing shop Krank Dirtwear. I am really liking their use of bold colours and their designs are different to the usual BIG LOGOS plastered on every available surface of a garment. These two jerseys are a perfect example of their designs:

-1-3

Its great to see on their site that they have women riders in mind, “Noticing that the lady mountain bike riders weren’t getting a fair deal with their mountainbike clothes we decided to design all of our ladies MTB clothes to suit their distinctive shape from XS right through to WXL we cater for all…”. As a stupidly-tiny 4′ 11″ rider, I have had to wear my fair share of lumpy misshapen jerseys that bulge out in all the wrong places. Non-sporty clothes are designed for women-shaped bodies, so why not sports clothes (its a no-brainer!).

Also, if you in the mood for scaring the bejasus out of your opponent check out the back of this custom jersey they’ve designed:

Ugly Cycling Clothes 9: Cow pat-tern

I dare someone to buy this and take a photo of it on. Sure its only AUS$120.00 (argh).

Mooooo

There is some text on the side of the jersey that I cant quite work out. Anyone care to offer some alternatives (moo-untain biking, anyone)? (Sorry that was terrible, my brain is a bit mushy from biking tonight).

Available from: www.cyclingcentralshop.com.au (these guys have some classics!)

Cheapness Alert! Sombrio Cloud Jersey

Just came across this on Wiggle: www.tinyurl.com/lcsg5k

A Sombrio Cloud jersey for only 15 pounds (free shipping to UK and Ireland)!!! I was a bit unsure about this top but then found this review on Muddbunnies (www.tinyurl.com/mh93xj) and it looks gorgeous on one of their club members:

I have a couple of Sombrio tops and can vouch for their durability and great sizing, especially over armour. Get it while you can!

Might Be Nice On 1 – Kona Circle Jersey

Ok, so I have decided to have a category for clothes that *might* be nice on, but because of poor photography and/or lack of actual tangilble contact with the garment I cant decide whether it is gick or slick. Take this Kona Circle Jersey (www.konaworld.com):

Roundy

I love Kona clothes. I think they do great sizing and I have bought loads of their stuff before. Their freeridey tops (to be reviewed) are great, and dont fall apart even after 100,000 super  mucky washes. This top has polka dots (woo) but shit-brown stripes (boo), but I have a feeling that it will be super-pretty on (*cough* maybe Kona would like to send me one to try on *cough*)

Kiwi Threads: Krank Dirtwear

Krank Dirtwear (www.krankdirtwear.com) are a New Zealand based mtb gear site I stumbled upon. They focus on the more minimal designs and primary colours, great for those of us who prefer less graphics.  I really liked the look of their 2009 Miscela jersey which comes in four bright colours and three back pockets. At e62.00 it is steep enough for a jersey, especially if you count in shipping from New Zealand, but they do sizes from XS to XXL which is always a plus point: (Edit: Just noticed that shipping to Europe is only NZ$25 – only €11 ! A steal!)

Pretty Patterns: Twin Six Clothing

Came across this US-based cycling clothing site (www.twinsix.com) with slick jerseys. Instead of the usual gaudy colours and ugly patterns they have funky styles and uncluttered designs. They jerseys in the mid range price-wise price but nothing out of the ordinary compared with big name companies:

This fits in well with the current 80′s-inspired colour trends out there:
